The e901 is a condenser boundary plate microphone. It utilizes a half-cardioid pickup pattern for a precise, fast, and realistic sound from a kick drum. Also for conference tables, podiums, altars, stages, pianos, and percussion. Full-bodied response. Definitely worth trying with the e904 in tandem.
