The Schoeps MK4 belongs to the renowned Colette series of modular capsules, designed to pair seamlessly with CMC preamplifiers. Featuring a cardioid polar pattern, it delivers excellent rejection of rear sound, minimizing off-axis noise and feedback. Its design allows for greater flexibility in microphone placement compared to pressure transducers of similar sensitivity. The MK4 excels in capturing both speech and music with natural clarity and detail, free of coloration, and is equally well-suited for X/Y or Mid-Side stereo recording setups.
