2011C Overview
The 2011C from DPA and often referred to as the little brother of the 4011. It is a twin diaphragm condenser that utilizes a cardioid pickup pattern for max gain before feedback and an interference tube for higher directionality (much like a shotgun). The 2011 " blends clarity, richness and dynamics and attains superb stage separation and level control " -DPA.
The 2011 also has modular flexibility but FYI this rental listing is for the compact pre amp (not the 2011A which is much longer). For a small diaphragm condenser it has a very high SPL rating of 159 dB making it safe to use around drums (cymbals/hi hats). This mic will not disappoint.
