The Sennheiser MKH 416 is a shotgun (super cardioid – hyper cardioid) condenser microphone. It is the current workhorse of the ENG, film and videography world. Used in both studio and on location the 416 has great frequency response (30Hz-20kHz) and side rejection resulting in clear dialogue pickup while handling sounds no louder than 130 dB.
